Data collection
While you are accessing our websites, we automatically collect general data. This data (server log files) includes, for example, the type of your browser, your operating system, the domain name of your internet service provider, and other similar general data. This data is absolutely independent of the person and is used to display the websites correctly to you and is accessed every time you use the internet. The absolutely anonymous data is statistically evaluated to improve our service for you.
Registration on our website
When registering for specific offers, we ask for some personal data such as name, address, contact, telephone number, or email address. Registered users can access certain additional services. Registered users have the option to change or delete all specified personal data at any time. You can also request the data stored by us at any time. Unless there is a statutory period for the retention of data, this data can be changed or deleted. Please contact us via our contact page for this purpose.
Paid services
If you use paid services, additional data may be required, including payment method details.
The use of the latest technology and encryption methods ensures comprehensive protection of your data.
Blog comments
If you leave comments on our blog, in addition to the plain text, details of the time of creation and your username will be stored. In this way, we guarantee the security of our blog and illegal contributions by users can be tracked.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use the registration data exclusively for the newsletter service. Registered users may be contacted by us to be informed about changes, updates, or other relevant information.
When registering, a valid email address must be provided. The so-called "double opt-in" procedure checks whether the registrant and email address match.
You have the right to have your data for the newsletter service deleted at any time. You will find an unsubscribe link in our newsletters. You can also unsubscribe on the website or inform us of your request via our contact page.
Contact form
If you contact us via our contact page or send us an email, the corresponding data will be stored for processing.
Deletion or blocking of data
Your personal data will only be stored for as long as is absolutely necessary to provide the services specified and as required by law. After these periods have expired, the personal data of users will be regularly blocked or deleted.
Google Analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics, the web analysis service of Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", small text files that are stored on your computer and store data about your use of our website. The data generated by the cookie about the use of our website is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Since IP anonymization is activated on our websites, your IP address will be shortened by Google. This applies to member states of the European Union and other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. In rare cases, the full IP address may be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google uses this information to evaluate your use of our website, to compile reports on website use for us, and to collect further statistical data. Your IP address will never be merged with other data stored by Google. The use of cookies can be prohibited by a setting in your browser; however, this may affect the function of our website. You can deactivate the collection of data by Google Analytics by means of a special additional program for your browser (Add On).
Google Remarketing
Our website uses the Google Remarketing function, which is used to show individual advertisements to visitors of websites belonging to the Google advertising network. A "cookie" is stored in your browser, which allows you to be recognized when you access a website belonging to the Google advertising network. You may then be presented with advertisements that are related to visits to other websites that also use the Google Remarketing function.
Google does not store any individual data in this process. At http://www.google.com/settings/ads you have the option to deactivate the Google Remarketing function. The use of cookies for individual advertising can also be switched off. This link describes how to do this: http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp.
Piwik
Our website uses Piwik, open-source software that collects data from visitors for statistical purposes. This is done via "cookies".
The data collected in this way is stored on a server and all IP addresses are anonymized immediately after processing and before storage. You can set the use of cookies via your browser settings. These settings may affect the correct functioning of our website.
You can also determine whether a web analysis cookie may be stored in your web browser, which enables the operator of the respective website to collect data for statistical purposes.
Adobe Analytics (Omniture)
Our website uses Adobe Analytics, an analysis tool from Adobe Systems Software Ireland Limited ("Adobe"). Adobe Analytics uses "cookies", small text files that are stored on your computer. These allow us to analyze your use of the website. Before a corresponding data record is transmitted to the Adobe data center, we anonymize the IP address. For this, the last octet of the IP address is replaced by zeros. Before the tracking packet is stored, the IP address is replaced by individual generic IP addresses. Adobe uses this information for us to evaluate how you as a visitor use our website. Reports are created that reflect the website activities and serve to improve our offer and our service. The transmitted IP addresses collected by Adobe Analytics are not merged with other data. The storage of cookies can be refused by a corresponding setting in the browser. In some cases, however, not all functions of our website may then be available. A general data transfer to Adobe can be prevented via an add-on. You can find the add-on here: http://www.adobe.com/de/privacy/opt-out.html
WiredMinds Analysis
The pixel tag technology of WiredMinds AG (www.wiredminds.de) is used to evaluate the behavior of visitors to our website.
This collects, processes, and stores data to create usage profiles under an alias. Where possible and appropriate, these usage profiles are anonymized. Cookies are used for this purpose. Cookies are text files that are stored on the website visitor's computer and are used to recognize internet browsers. The collected data, general or personal, is sent to WiredMinds or stored directly by WiredMinds. WiredMinds can store the data generated during visits to the websites in anonymized usage profiles. This data is not used to identify visitors to websites unless the visitor has given their consent to the contrary. Furthermore, it is not linked to personal information about the person behind a pseudonym. IP addresses are directly anonymized by deleting the last block of numbers.
Social Plugins
We use social plugins from the providers listed below on our websites. Plugins are marked with the corresponding logo.
The service provider may receive information and personal data of our visitors through such plugins. A 2-click solution installed by us prevents the inconspicuous collection and transfer of data to the service provider. Only if a social plugin is activated by you with a click will the collection of information and its transmission to the service provider be triggered.
What data such a plugin collects once activated, and how it is subsequently used, is beyond our control. In some cases, direct connections to the services of the respective provider are established and the IP address and specific usage information can be collected and used. Service providers can also try to store cookies on your computer. You can find out how these cookies work in the privacy notices of the respective provider. You can be identified by Facebook as a visitor if you are currently logged into your Facebook account.
Social media buttons from the following companies are integrated into our website:
Google Plus/Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway – Mountain View – CA 94043 – USA)
Cookies
Our website uses "cookies". Cookies are text files that are transferred from a website's server to your computer. Certain data such as IP address, browser, operating system, and internet connection are transferred. Cookies do not start programs and do not transmit viruses. The information collected by cookies is used to facilitate your navigation and to optimize the display of our websites. Data collected by us will never be passed on to third parties without your consent or linked to personal data.
The use of cookies can be prevented by settings in your browser. In the explanations for your internet browser, you will find information on how to change these settings. Individual functions of our website may not work correctly if the use of cookies is deactivated.
Scalable Central Measurement Method
For the collection of statistical key figures about the use of our services, we use the "Scalable Central Measurement Method" (SZM) of INFOnline GmbH http://www.infonline.de).
This method collects anonymous measured values. The SZM reach measurement uses either a cookie with the identifier "ioam.de", "ivwbox.de", a LocalStorage object, or a signature created from various transmitted information of your web browser to recognize computer systems. IP addresses are used in anonymized form.
Data protection is always taken into account during reach measurement. This statistically determines the intensity of use and the number of users of a website. Individual users are not recognized, and their identity always remains protected. The system does not send advertising.
Web offers that belong to the Informationsgemeinschaft zur Feststellung der Verbreitung von Werbeträgern e.V. (IVW – http://www.ivw.eu) or participate in the "internet facts" study of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Online-Forschung e.V. (AGOF – www.agof.de) have their usage statistics published monthly by AGOF and Arbeitsgemeinschaft Media-Analyse e.V. (ag.ma – www.agma-mmc.de), as well as IVW, and can be viewed at http://www.agof.de, http://www.agma-mmc.de and http://www.ivw.eu. The IVW regularly checks the SZM procedure for compliance with rules and data protection. In addition, the measurement data is published.
The website of INFOnline GmbH (https://www.infonline.de), the data protection website of AGOF (http://www.agof.de/datenschutz) and the data protection website of IVW (http://www.ivw.eu) provide detailed information on the SZM procedure.
If you do not agree to the data processing by the SZM, you can make this known via the following links: http://optout.ioam.de and http://optout.ivwbox.de.
Scalable Central Measurement Method in Applications
For the collection of statistical key figures of the use of our offers, our application uses the "Scalable Central Measurement Method" (SZM) of INFOnline GmbH (http://www.infonline.de).
Anonymous measured values are collected. The SZM reach measurement uses unique identifiers of the end device for recognizing devices, which are transmitted exclusively in anonymized form. IP addresses are only processed in anonymized form.
The website of INFOnline GmbH (https://www.infonline.de), the data protection website of AGOF (http://www.agof.de/datenschutz)and the data protection website of IVW (http://www.ivw.eu) provide detailed information on the SZM procedure.
Google AdWords
Our website uses Google Conversion Tracking. If you have reached our website by clicking on a Google advertisement, Google Adwords stores a conversion tracking cookie on your computer. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days; website visitors are not identified. Within the 30-day period, we and Google can determine that the user initially clicked on the advertisement to land on our page. Google AdWords cookies are customer-specific and cannot be tracked across the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected with conversion cookies is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who use conversion tracking. Customers learn how many users have used an ad to visit their page. Personal user data is not transmitted in this process.
Those who do not wish to participate in tracking can set this in the browser settings. The automatic setting of cookies can generally be deactivated or you can set your browser to always block googleleadservices.com cookies.
Opt-out cookies must not be deleted if you wish to refuse the recording of measurement data. If you delete the cookies in your browser, all opt-out cookies must be reset.
Information, correction, blocking, deletion, and objection
You can request information about your data stored by us at any time. This data can also be corrected, blocked or, if the prescribed data storage periods for business transactions have expired, deleted. Blocked data is kept in a special blocking file for control purposes. If the legal archiving obligation has expired, you can also request the deletion of the data. Within the archiving obligation, we can block your data on request.
Changes or revocation of consents can be made by notifying us. This is also possible for future actions.

Our privacy policy may be adjusted at irregular intervals to comply with current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services, e.g., when new offers are introduced. The new privacy policy will then automatically apply to your next visit.
